Product: Fairfield Design
Pattern / Colour: Chevron / Almond
The Brief
As the central spine of the home, a staircase requires a flooring solution that balances striking visual impact with high-performance durability. For this project, the goal was to elevate a traditional hallway layout, introducing a contemporary geometric element that complements the existing architectural features.
Design & Material Selection
Fairfield Chevron in Almond
The choice of the Fairfield Chevron pattern in ‘Almond’ introduces a sophisticated, texturally rich dynamic to the space.
Visual Flow: The directional chevron pattern creates a strong sense of movement, drawing the eye upward and maximizing the perception of height in a narrow architectural space.
Tonal Balance: The ‘Almond’ colourway utilizes a classic contrast palette—blending warm, neutral tones with deep accents that sit perfectly alongside the crisp white woodwork and deep timber handrail.
Practicality: Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the dense weave and structured pattern are ideal for high-traffic staircase environments, ensuring long-term resilience and appearance retention.
Technical Execution
Pattern alignment is critical on a single straight flight of stairs. Our installation team focused on precise centering, ensuring the chevron vectors maintain absolute symmetry from the top landing down to the final step. The carpet wraps tightly over each nose to highlight the clean architectural lines of the staircase.
The Result
A beautifully tailored finish that brings immediate character to the home’s entryway. The project was completed to the highest standard, leaving Mr Adney as a very happy customer.
