How to choose a Karndean floor

1 – Try a design in your own room with the room visualiser

Take the guesswork out of trying a floor by trying it out in your house before you buy!

The Karndean room visualiser can be used on any device. All you have to do is take a picture the room where you’d like a new floor (make sure you include lots of floor!) and replace it with any of the Karndean ranges you want to try. You can rotate the direction of the floor and choose different laying patterns, design strips and borders.

Once you’ve picked your perfect new floor, all you need to do is get in touch and ask us for a quote.

2 – Pick by room size

Is the room a standard or quirky shape? Does the room have lots of windows and is bright, or short of sunlight and naturally dark?

Dark floors can make an already dark room feel smaller so a lighter tone floor might be worth considering to brighten up darker areas and make them feel more spacious. In contrast darker tone floors can make a large area feel more warm.

3 – Pick by room style

What style suits your taste and your home? Do you prefer the look of wood, stone or more traditional or abstract designs?

When it comes to wood look flooring, oak is a classic, but you could consider something more like elm, hickory, ignea or tigerwood.

You can also personalise your floor with borders, different laying patterns and other bespoke features.  If you chose some design strips and borders you can easily create zones and highlight architectural features.
