Who we are

About Flooring and Carpet Centre

We are a family business established in 1965 and celebrated 55 years in 2020. We are privileged to be one of Karndean’s Gold Retail Partners and show their entire range. The Carpet and Flooring Centre in Kingsteignton is one of the oldest and most respected family run businesses in the Newton Abbot, Torquay, Teignmouth, Shaldon and Dawlish area.

Run by brothers Gary and Kevin Loader they have experienced all the carpet and flooring trends, styles, ranges, finishes and functionalities. They have a keen eye for ‘what works’ either for your carpets and flooring project for your house or commercial flooring project.

Lisa is the latest recruit to the Flooring and Carpet Centre showroom team. She has a background in interior design and is bringing a fresh enthusiasm to give customers just what they want, even if they didn’t know exactly what it was before they visited the showroom. Between them they will create the perfect floor for you.

Our Karndean Floorstyle room visualiser tool is an augmented reality tool. It is designed to help you visualise how floors would look in your rooms. It takes the guesswork out of choosing a floor by trying it out before you commit to buying. (It’s pretty impressive!)

All you need to do is upload a photo of your room, making sure you include a decent area of floor, or you can use one of the preset rooms instead.
